| Abstract: |
| U. S. International Military Education and Training Program （IMET）is under the auspices of US Congress，Department of States and Department of Defense，and is mainly executed by US military-related establishments. IMET plays a “preventive defense”role in serving the America’s national interest，constructing international environment favorable to the US and dealing with worldwide crises. The historical evolution，organization structure，and management layout of IMET are analyzed here in order to provide some reference for our strategy-planning and decision-making agencies. |
