| 从档案利用意识、利用对象、利用方式、法律和制度规定、信息化建设、公布权限、检索服务等七个方面，对中、美两国高校档案利用工作进行了比较分析，提出了建设高等院校档案利用工作的几点意见：加强宣传，提高高校档案机构的服务意识和社会的档案利用意识；积极推进档案信息数字化；整合高校档案信息资源；拓展档案服务方式；修订完善高校档案利用工作规章制度。 |
