      高校教师发展中心二十世纪六十年代肇始于美国,是美国高校促进教师发展尤其是教师教学发展的支持性机构。“服务”是美国高校教师发展中心运行的共同理念。从项目参与原则、教师隐私保护、教师发展中心与教师的互动、教师参与项目的经济成本、教师发展中心的面向对象、教师发展中心对待“评价”的态度、教师发展中心对细节的关注七个方面阐述美国高校教师发展中心的“服务”理念。高校教师发展中心在美国是作为支持性的服务机构而非管理评价机构而存在。
Abstract:
      Center for Faculty Development,originating from the United States in 1960s,is a supportive organization which promotes teachers’development,especially their teaching ability.“To serve”is the shared notion of American centers for faculty development,which will be elaborated from the following seven aspects:the principle of project participation,protection of teachers’privacy,interaction between the center and the faculty,the economic cost of teachers’participation in projects,the object-oriented nature of faculty development center,the attitude of towards“evaluation”,and the attention of faculty development center to details. These centers exist in the United States as supportive service institutions rather than management evaluation ones.
