| Abstract: |
| Focusing on the importance of university academics and reviewing the academic connotation，the article explores the core implication of academics and puts forward the idea that all work involves academics. It expounds on the view that academics，which is closely related to the emergence and development of universities，embodies the core competitiveness of universities. In the article，several academic development strategies are discussed such as upholding comprehensive academic outlook，following academic rules，shaping excellent academic quality，strengthening academic cooperation，and highlighting education and service of academics，so as to play a better academic role and promote the comprehensive construction and development of universities in the new era. |
