| Abstract: |
| Yu Min，the father of hydrogen bomb in China，was the winner of the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award in 2014，and the winner of the“Medal of the Republic”in 2019. He was the only winner of the award who was not alive. This paper expounds in detail the outstanding scientific and technological originality，charming research art and pure spiritual character of academician Yu Min，backbone of the Chinese nation. His achievements，talents and character make him a monument in the history of science and technology，the history of national defense and even the great history，which also provides inspiration and reference for the cultivation of contemporary outstanding talents. |
