      在全球安全格局持续动荡和战争形态智能化的背景下,培养能够应对高度不确定性的新型军事人才成为各国军事高等教育改革的核心。批判力作为融合批判性理性、批判性自我反思与批判性行为的核心素养,其战略价值日益凸显。文章以英国教育哲学家罗纳德·巴奈特的批判力三维模型为理论框架,采用案例研究法,系统剖析了美国西点军校在批判力培养方面的顶层设计、制度框架及多维实践路径。研究发现,西点军校通过“四位一体”的整体性教育体系,系统性培养学员在知识、自我与世界三个维度上的综合能力。其批判力培养的本质,是在军队核心价值观框架内塑造一种服务于军人职业使命的“有边界的批判力”,从而有效调和鼓励思辨与要求服从这一军事教育目标的内在张力。研究认为,西点军校模式对我国军队院校深化教育改革、构建能够打赢未来战争的人才培养体系,具有重要的理论启示与实践借鉴价值。
Abstract:
      Against the backdrop of an increasingly volatile global security landscape and the growing intellectualization of warfare,the cultivation of new-type military talent capable of operating under high uncertainty has been placed at the forefront of military education reforms worldwide. Criticality,as a core competency integrating critical reason,critical self-reflection,and critical action,is gaining significant strategic importance. This paper employs the three-dimensional model of criticality proposed by Ronald Barnett as its theoretical framework. Through an in-depth case study of the United States Military Academy at West Point,it systematically analyzes the top-level design,institutional framework,and multi-dimensional practices of its criticality cultivation. The study reveals that West Point systematically fosters cadets’comprehensive abilities across the domains of knowledge,self and the world through a holistic“four-pillar”educational system. The essence of its criticality cultivation lies in shaping a form of“bounded criticality”that serves the professional mission within the framework of the military’s core values,thereby effectively reconciling the inherent tension in military education between encouraging critical inquiry and demanding obedience. This paper argues that West Point’s model can offer valuable theoretical insights and practical references for Chinese military academies,which can inform the deepening of educational reforms and the construction of systems capable of nurturing talent prepared to win future wars.
