由于海外的一系列军事行动因语言和文化问题屡遭挫折,美国防部为了切实解决外语难题,采取了设立统一的领导和保障机构,规划针对需求与定位的语言学习,兼顾文化和语言能力的双重培养,建立完备的语言能力指标体系,发展多样化的培训和教学方式和开展依托地方高校和国际合作的创新项目等一系列措施促进国防语言体系建设,推动了美军外语教育的改革。美军的语言文化发展战略目标明确,层次清晰,对我军外语教学改革有一定的启示作用。 |
Abstract: |
A number of U.S military oversea operations suffered a series of setbacks because of the absence of awareness of the local languages and culture. In order to solve these language problems,the U.S. DoD has taken a set of actions:setting up a specialized lead agency and supporting institutions;planning language education with strategic requirements and orientation;highlighting both language skills and cross cultural competency;founding language proficiency test system;developing a wide variety of training methods;and conducting creative programs with the strength of civilian high school and international cooperation. All those actions have led to a reform in U.S military’s foreign language education and advanced her Defense Language System. The development strategy of the American Armed Forces can give revelation to our military foreign language education with its clear goals and hierarchy. |
